Scan To BIM MoJ – Level 2 BIM

This was a large instruction to scan the external envelope of Cardiff Crown Court for Mace on behalf of the Ministry of Justice. The brief was to create a Level 2 BIM compliant model following the MOJ guidance and BIM2AIM suite of documents

LOD (Level Of Detail)

Our LOD standards reference the two most commonly cited benchmarks – the AEC (UK) BIM Protocol and the AIA (US) BIM Protocol as interpreted by the BIM Forum LOD Spec 2016. In addition we can adapt and tailor our models to suit differing organisational requirements and applications. Our Scan To BIM MoJ model was for ongoing use in facilities management and immediate use for 1/100 AutoCAD elevations. Our model was created to allow both with AutoCAD extractions from custom built Revit families and so streamlined the workflow of several departments and contractors. With a central model as the source for all secondary documents the management and maintenance of large and complex buildings such as Cardiff Crown Court can be greatly simplified.
